Release Notes for Digi PC/X, MC/X and Modem/X and Classicboard (ISA and PCI) OS/2 2.x Device Driver DGX.SYS V2.2.7 March 21, 1999 OS Release(s) : IBM OS/2 1.3, 2.00, 2.01, 2.1, 2.11, 3.0, 4.0 Software: P/N 80006697B Diskette: P/N 40001842B Release Notes: P/N 93000312B 1. Enhancements - Added support for the PCI Classicboard. With PCI adapters the port, IRQ and number of ports are read from the adapter's PCI configuration space and not from the config.sys "Device=" line. Thus whereas to load support for an 8 port ISA Classicboard one might specify: DEVICE =C:\DIGI\dgx.sys /P:140 /C:8 /I:5 /n:"digi"0 for a PCI Classicboard one need specify only: DEVICE=C:\DIGI\dgx.sys /n:"digi"0 2. Bug fixes 3. Known limitations - A maximum of 32 ports are available using DGX.SYS in OS/2 sessions. - Though many channels can be active at 1200-4800 baud, only a few channels can sustain the higher baud rates of 9600 or more without data loss and serious system performance degradation. - Though the driver supports both ISA and PCI adapters, it does not support both ISA and PCI adapters in the same machine. 4.
